Troop Committee News

The Troop 336 Committee is the administrative part of the Troop. The Committee reviews and makes decisions on issues dealing with finances, discipline and any other administrative duties. We also interface with the BSA council. We are a part of the DelMarVA Council, Cecil District. Our district executive is Rob Billings.

All adults (sorry, no scouts) are welcome to attend any committee meeting. Typical attendees are Committee Chair, Scoutmaster, Secretary, Treasurer, and Advancement Chair. We meet once a month, on the first Tuesday following the second Monday of the month (to ensure our meeting follows the District Roundtable), but dates may change due to holidays. Dates, times and location are shown on the Troop calendar. All meetings are 7:00-8:30 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church. We meet just down the stairs from the area where we meet for troop meetings.

Trinity United Methodist Church is our Chartered Organization. They sponsor us and typically donate some money every year that goes towards equipment, maintenance, training, etc. In turn, we provide community service support for them and other organizations in the Chesapeake City area.

Meetings

Our funfilled, informative Troop meetings are held each Wednesday night from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. They are held at our Charter Organization, Trinity United Methodist Church. The Troop meetings are planned and led by the Scouts. This is a boy led program with adult leadership to behind the scenes to direct, coach and develop our Scouts into young men with leadership skills.
